As the title suggests, “Kupe” is a call to dance, party, and own every place you set foot in. From the very first moment when the song plays, there’s a rhythmic beat that will not stop until the end, providing a perfect platform for what’s coming next.

‘Kupe’ is a bilingual dance track that mixes Yoruba, French, Pidgin, and English in one flow. Modola’s voice matches perfectly with the music, carrying an energy that characterizes her as a performer.

She enters the song without any trouble, fully controlling everything happening around her and letting everyone know from the beginning that she will not tolerate anyone underestimating her, and then moving straight into dancing mode. Modola’s body language is the soul of the entire piece, as she depicts a woman who can make a traffic stop with just her presence and makes others pull over.

“My body la banging, la hot, la fresh, la smooth,” she declares and she means every word.
Mushin-bred singer Bhadboi OML matches her energy with a loose, celebratory ease. Incorporating French and Yoruba into his verses, he sets a festive, dance-floor mood that fits the record’s party-ready spirit perfectly. Rather than overshadowing Modola, he adds warmth and texture, making “Kupe” feel less like a feature and more like a genuine creative partnership between two artists operating on the same frequency.

“Kupe” follows Modola’s debut EP, New Light, released in 2025 under Base World Global Ltd. The six-song EP album received praise for its consistency and versatility, with singles “Billing” and “No Stress” contributing towards making her name popular across Africa.

In addition to this, in 2025, Modola made her presence felt in several significant appearances where she performed alongside Diamond Platnumz and Tiwa Savage at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Africa Celebrations in Ethiopia as the first-ever Nigerian Afrobeats artist, and even had Olamide drag her onstage at his sold-out concert OVO Arena Wembley with Asake, Seyi Vibez, and Fireboy DML.

She also became the most-streamed under-20 female Nigerian Artist by Boomplay in the “So Young, So Hot” 2025 edition editorial.
