Nina Roz is the most recent musician to be drawn to the world of politics.
Nina Roz announced over the weekend that she will be entering active politics in 2026 during an interview with a local television station.
She desires to see a change in the administration and is running for a parliamentary seat. She added that she will stop at nothing to see a major shift, and that Bobi Wine is her inspiration.
“Of course, I am of Bobi Wine’s generation; you have to expect me to be the voice of the voiceless. I want to be there for my people and fight for change. I joined the struggle to seek change because, in all the years I have lived, I have never seen change in my country. As a young person, I also want to live in a country that I am proud of. I do not want to lie to my fans that because they see me looking good, everything is good,” she explained in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
Nina Roz has been frequenting the National Unity Platform offices lately, and it’s likely that she will run on the platform’s ticket in the next elections.
Born and raised in Sembabule, Nina Roz is reportedly running for the Woman MP seat in the same constituency.
