Former four time presidential candidate, Dr Col Kiiza Besigye has come out to address the increased Bromance between him and the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine. According to Besigye he’s not so close to Bobi Wine only, he’s close to every person who is being affected by the Museveni regime.
It should be recalled that NUP has been working in tandem with Besigye and Erias Lukwago’s FDC Katonga faction with the most recent being bananas in the potholes in the country a few days ago. According to the former FDC candidate, he’s ready to work with everyone regardless of their political affiliations.
If it’s those from NUP, CP, JEEMA, DP or even the NRM, Besigye is ready to work with them. According to Besigye, he doesn’t regret going to the bush to fight against bad governance. By the time he joined President Museveni’s NRA guerillas, the situation was as bad as it is today. Therefore he can’t regret joining the bush because he managed to achieve his goals.
However, he added that those who left them in this war betrayed the cause. They reintroduced the same situation they had fought against. He can’t therefore cease fighting and has to continue the struggle.
Additionally, the politician said that it’s the same way he can’t regret forming FDC. It had clean goals but it was distorted after it’s current leaders opted to work with the regime. Apparently , Besigye also lambasted Makindye mayor Ali Mulyanyama.
Besigye said that he doesn’t understand the language the mayor uses these days and be might be a sellout.
