Winnie Nwagi has made it clear that she won’t be pressured into changing her style to meet public expectations.

While speaking during an interview on Bukedde TV, the singer addressed ongoing criticism about her dressing, stating that she doesn’t feel obligated to conform to what others consider “decent.”
She explained that people who label her outfits as inappropriate should first define what indecency means to them, noting that such views are often subjective.
According to her, what one person may find uncomfortable or unsuitable might simply be a matter of personal limitation rather than universal standards.
“I dress according to what my body commands. If I wake up one day and I feel like I’m tired of skimpy clothes, I’ll wear only long ones… trust me,” she said.
Nwagi emphasized that her fashion choices are guided by her own preferences rather than societal pressure. She maintained that she prioritizes her comfort and self-expression, regardless of public opinion.
“I do things I like, so if you say they’re bad then it’s up to you,” she added.
The singer also pointed out that society often criticizes individuals based on their appearance, particularly their dressing. In her view, the idea of a “dress code” should reflect personal choice, as everyone has their own unique sense of style and boundaries.
