Ugandan singer Latinum Lati has clapped back at fellow artist Kapeke following his criticism of Eddy Kenzo’s recent Grammy nomination.

Kapeke earlier argued that Kenzo’s nominated project did not deserve a Grammy nod and suggested that if anything from Kenzo’s catalog deserved recognition, it should have been the global hit Sitya Loss.

His remarks sparked a wave of reactions online — and Latinum wasn’t having any of it.

In a fiery response, Latinum defended Kenzo, urging Kapeke to stay in his lane and avoid speaking on matters he “doesn’t understand.”

“Kapeke should be simple and easy, not jump on things he doesn’t understand,” Latinum said.

“Uncle Eddy is against big stars in that category and then you bring your Tema Ensingo? They’ll just tell him to take away his rubbish. His songs are for bedroom affairs, but he should stop disrespecting people he has found in the industry.”
