Singer Omulangira Suuna, widely known as OS Suuna, has broken his silence following a viral incident that placed him at odds with supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) president Bobi Wine.

The controversy stemmed from an interaction at Mikie Wine’s concert in Kampala last weekend. During his performance, Suuna stepped off the stage and delivered an acapella moment right beside Bobi Wine’s table.
In the circulating video, Suuna stretched out his hand to greet the opposition leader — but Bobi Wine appeared not to respond.
The clip quickly spread across social media, sparking heated reactions. Many NUP supporters interpreted the moment as a deliberate snub.
Some “foot soldiers” mocked Suuna, suggesting he was facing consequences for what they claim were past instances of disrespect towards Bobi Wine and his alignment with the government.
In response, Suuna dismissed the online mockery and criticized NUP supporters for what he described as a toxic political culture rooted in insults rather than substance.
“Mark my words, you will not take power by insulting others,” Suuna warned.
He went further to compare NUP’s approach to the historical struggle that brought President Yoweri Museveni to power. According to Suuna, the journey to State House is not something achieved through social media aggression.
“The man took up arms and shot his way into power. He ate corn and shared it with his comrades, smeared themselves with cow dung in the bush because they had no vaseline; and you think that is the person that will hand you the presidency because you are very good at insulting? Museveni will not give you that seat,” he said.
