Early Life and Career
Joseph Lewis Thomas, popularly known as Joe, was born on July 5, 1973, in Columbus, Georgia, USA. He grew up in a religious home where both of his parents served as evangelical preachers. This upbringing deeply influenced his musical journey, as he began singing in church choirs from a young age.

After completing high school, Joe decided to pursue his passion for music. He moved to New Jersey, where he met producer Vincent Herbert, a connection that led to his signing with Polygram Records in 1992.
Rise to Fame
Joe released his debut album, Everything, in 1993, marking the beginning of his professional music career. His breakthrough came with his second album, All That I Am (1997), which featured the hit single “All the Things (Your Man Won’t Do).”

In 2000, Joe achieved even greater success with his third studio album, My Name Is Joe, which included popular tracks such as “I Wanna Know” and “Stutter.”
