Comedian Maulana Kasozi has opened up about the struggles that come with marrying someone who didn’t grow up in a complete family with both parents.

According to him, such relationships can be difficult to maintain because the upbringing shapes how people view and handle relationships.
Maulana explained that individuals raised by single parents often grow up understanding only one side of life — either from the father’s or the mother’s perspective — and this imbalance affects their decisions when it comes to love and marriage.
“If they grew up with a father alone, they will think women are worthless. And if with a single mother, it’s the same feeling towards men,” Maulana said. “She’d date as many until she reaches a point and just accepts her fate that maybe her mother was the problem and settle with the most convenient one — and vice versa for those who grew up with single fathers.”
The comedian further advised that people need to work on their behaviors and avoid repeating the same mistakes their parents made.
He emphasized the importance of self-awareness and growth in relationships.
“It’s best to change as you go into a new relationship. What failed to work in the previous one should be rectified in a new one to avoid warnings two weeks into the relationship,” he added.
