According to court prosecutor Sarah Komukya, Biggie was arrested around Ham Building in Kampala and taken to court to address the long-standing debt case. However, she was unable to pay the money on the spot, prompting the court to issue a remand order.

“Court remanded her to eat some prison food as she looks for the money and pay for her freedom or spend the time and also money spent in the legal process later,” Komukya stated.

Sources close to the case say Tumusiime had made several attempts to recover his money through private means before resorting to court intervention.

The court’s ruling means Biggie will remain in prison unless she clears the full amount owed or secures an alternative legal settlement.
