Singer Aaronx has opened up about one of the moments he deeply regrets in his career — the day he disrespected veteran musician Bebe Cool during a YouTube interview earlier this year.
During the interview with a local blogger, Aaronx made remarks about the Gagamel boss that were perceived as disrespectful, sparking outrage among fans and members of Bebe Cool’s camp. The incident quickly went viral and drew massive criticism on social media.
Aaronx later publicly apologized and reconciled with Bebe Cool at the World Sounds concert, where the two were seen exchanging pleasantries.
Despite being forgiven, Aaronx admits that the experience remains one of his biggest lessons.
“It was fun when I was speaking those words and I was camera excited, but when I returned home, I started to rethink what I had said,” Aaronx recalled.
“My manager, who was with me in the car on my way home, warned me that I had to hang in and get ready for what was coming.”
The young artist says the backlash that followed was overwhelming, as he received insults and accusations he had never encountered before.
“What hurt me the most was when they said I’m a homosexual, and that made me think — even though it’s the internet, why are they saying these things about me?” he said. “I used that opportunity to learn that it’s important to keep quiet sometimes.”
