Singer Ava Peace has responded to ongoing comparisons between her and Sheebah Karungi, saying there’s enough space for everyone to shine in the Ugandan music industry.
The fast-rising star, who is managed by Jeff Kiwa — Sheebah’s former manager — has often been placed side by side with the “Queen Karma” hitmaker. However, Ava says she doesn’t see any reason for competition or rivalry.
“Everyone can be a star. I think I’m one of the most booked artists in Uganda, and also these days I don’t wear Ugandan clothes — they’re all from London because life upgraded,” Ava said confidently.
The “Shabada” singer added that her music is performing well both locally and on digital platforms, which has allowed her to live comfortably.
She also revealed that she comes from a well-off family, urging fans not to be surprised when they see her enjoying a luxurious lifestyle, including driving her Benz.
