Longtime Ugandan music producer Didi, real names Abdul Karim Muchwa, has successfully completed rehabilitation after one and a half years.

In a video making rounds on social media, Didi expressed gratitude to Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo and the entire committee for standing with him during his lowest moments.

He noted that their support and efforts towards his mental health played a big role in his recovery after he collapsed and lost consciousness.
Last year, Didi’s health and financial condition sparked concern across the entertainment industry, with many musicians and fans calling for immediate help.
His situation highlighted the struggles faced by several creatives in the Ugandan music industry.
Didi now looks forward to rebuilding his life and career, thanking everyone who contributed to his journey back to wellness.
Didi is famously recalled to been at the top of the game between the late 2000s and mid 2010s, producing songs such as; Stamina by Eddy Kenzo, Emikono Wagulu by Coco Finger, Traffic Man Officer by Gift Ov Kado, My Miss by Coco Finger, Mama Brenda by Sweet Kid, among others.
