Kasuku, who was also at the venue to watch the World Cup Final, says he had originally been seated with his friends before Bebe Cool arrived and asked him to join his table.

According to Kasuku, Bebe Cool approached him shortly after reaching Kyadondo.

He called me over to sit with him on their table and I left my friends and came sat in front with him. I think the game had gone into extra time,” he narrated.

Moments later, chaos erupted.

Kasuku recalls that he didn’t initially hear the blast. Instead, he saw the screen and the ground shaking violently before everything spiraled into confusion.

“The next thing I saw was Bebe Cool running toward Game Stores. I saw people falling to the ground and I did too. When I got up, I heard people crying,” he said.

Police sealed off the entire area within ten minutes as survivors tried to understand what had happened.

The most painful part of the night, Kasuku says, was watching people die—right before his eyes—including some of his own friends whom he had left at their table moments before Bebe Cool called him over.
