Socialite and motivational figure Bryan White was this morning, November 19, 2025, produced before the Makindye Chief Magistrates’ Court to answer a string of grave charges, including human sacrifice and manslaughter.
His court appearance comes exactly one week after his wife, Naava Nakato, and three others were charged and remanded over the death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama.
Case Background
Nakato was charged alongside:
- Daisy Nalunga – Bryan White’s housewife
- Daphine Abaho – Advocacy officer
- Joyce Irene Nambalirwa – Administrator of Mukyala Mabirizi Nursing Home
The four were remanded by Makindye Grade One Magistrate Teddy Nakawuki, who noted that the case file had not yet been assigned to her court.
Charges Against Bryan White
Bryan White faces multiple counts under the Prevention and Prohibition of Human Sacrifice Act, specifically sections 2(1) and 3(b)(1), which make human sacrifice a capital offence punishable by death.
He is also charged with:
- Manslaughter
- Rash and negligent acts
- Possession of marijuana, contrary to the Penal Code Act and the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Act
- Conspiracy to commit a felony
- Providing false information to law enforcement
The offence of manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment upon conviction.
Prosecution’s Narrative
According to prosecutors, on October 22, 2025, at Kyamula Zone, Makindye Division, Bryan White allegedly killed Nalubwama for purposes “of performing or furthering witchcraft, ritual, or other unlawful purposes.”
Further allegations indicate that between October 22 and 27, at Kiruddu Hospital, Makindye Division, he unlawfully caused Nalubwama’s death by burning.
On the rash and neglect charge, prosecutors say he used combustible material without taking precautions to prevent harm.
He was reportedly found with marijuana leaves and seeds stored in bottles, categorized as narcotic substances.
Details of the Alleged Ritual Act
The state alleges that Bryan White, together with Nakato, Nalunga, and Abaho:
- Conspired to commit the ritual murder of Nalubwama
- Set fire to candle wax in a closed room
- Massaged Nalubwama’s body with a mixture of petrol and ghee, while consuming honey
The prosecution further contends that the group knowingly misled investigators, including Detective Bruce Tumwebaze and Inspector Betty Monica Kyakuwaire, by claiming Nalubwama was burned and admitted at Kiruddu Hospital. In reality, she had been taken to Mabirizi Nursing Home.
Charges Against the Nursing Home Administrator
Joyce Irene Nambalirwa faces charges of:
- Manslaughter
- Rash and negligent acts causing death
Prosecutors state that Nambalirwa failed to refer Nalubwama to a major hospital for critical treatment, a negligent omission that contributed directly to her death.
