Singer and Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo has vowed to take legal action against events promoter Nobat Events, real name Norbert Twizire, for allegedly spreading false and damaging claims about him.

Norbert has recently appeared in several videos accusing Kenzo of misusing government funds allocated to the federation’s SACCO.
He also accused the BET Award winner of blocking other musicians from performing at National Resistance Movement (NRM) rallies.
Addressing the media on Monday, Kenzo expressed his frustration with what he called baseless allegations and made it clear that he intends to seek justice through the courts.
“He needs to provide evidence. The good thing is that what he said is on record. He will come and answer in court,” Kenzo stated.
The singer emphasized that the continued attacks on his reputation and integrity have gone too far and that it is time to set a precedent for accountability regarding false statements made on social media.
If Norbert fails to provide proof for his claims, Kenzo says he will face serious legal consequences for defamation.
