Music producer and singer Daddy Andre has publicly stated that he will not participate in his ex-lover Nina Roz’s political campaign in Sembabule District unless he is paid for his services.

The two artists were once one of Uganda’s most admired celebrity couples, with their relationship even receiving blessings from both families.
However, the romance later ended in controversy amid allegations of infidelity, and each has since moved on with new partners.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Daddy Andre made it clear that their past relationship will not influence his professional decisions.
“I am Daddy Andre, and if you want to book me for your campaigns, I will send you my manager’s number and you send him the money. It’s politics, not a normal event — I have to get paid,” he asserted.
Andre emphasized that there are no hard feelings between them, but business remains business.
“Our relationship ended, and she has another man now. What we had doesn’t matter anymore — it’s strictly business,” he added.
Nina Roz is currently seeking the Sembabule District Woman MP seat in the upcoming 2026 elections under the National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket.
