Comedian Mugerwa Obedi, popularly known as Reign, has said he is ready to support whoever will be chosen as the flag bearer for the Lubaga South parliamentary seat under the National Unity Platform (NUP).

This comes after his nomination earlier this week at the NUP headquarters, where he officially expressed interest in contesting for the position.
Reign emphasized that his commitment is not only to his personal ambitions but also to the party’s unity and the will of the people.
“I will stand with whoever the party gives the ticket to,” he said.
The comedian joins a growing list of Ugandan celebrities who have recently stepped into politics, leaving behind their professional careers to seek leadership roles.
The Lubaga South constituency is expected to attract strong competition, with NUP’s final flag bearer likely to play a key role in shaping the contest.
