Female singing duo Kataleya & Kandle have come out to narrate the hardships they have faced in Uganda’s music industry despite their early breakthrough.
According to the pair, their rise to fame came unexpectedly through their hit song Do Me, which introduced them to the limelight.
They admitted that while the song brought them recognition, the fame was short-lived as they soon faced backlash from the media.
The duo claims that some media personalities were reportedly paid to attack them, spreading negative stories that portrayed them in bad light.
They also revealed that most of the stories linking them to fights over men were false and intentionally spread to damage their reputation.
Despite the challenges, Kataleya & Kandle remain determined to focus on their music and rebuild their brand in the entertainment industry.
