Today, August 29th, gospel singer Mbaleka Jonas and Baby Gloria are set to walk down the aisle, sealing their love journey in holy matrimony. Ahead of the big day, Jonas has shared the heartfelt story of how their paths first crossed.
Jonas, who is also a singer though strictly for ministry, recalled that his music journey started in 2006 during a church production called Celebrate Emmanuel.
Over the years, he stayed committed to ministry through music, eventually winning an award in 2016 as Arising Star of the Year.
It was along this path that he crossed paths with Baby Gloria, who, like him, has built her identity in gospel and ministry music. Jonas revealed that they first met at a Power FM-organized event, where destiny quietly began its work.
“I was friends with one of the presenters who later gave me Gloria’s number. He told me she had good music and encouraged me to reach out for a collaboration,” Jonas explained.
“I first sent her a message but she ignored it. With time, the friend who connected us reached out to Gloria again and told her about me. That’s when she reached out and everything began from there.”
From a simple connection rooted in music and ministry, the two have grown into a couple ready to exchange vows before family, friends, and God.
