Musicians Priscilla Zawedde aka Azawi and Reagan Muhairwe aka Ray G clashed in Mbarara at Comedy Store’s end of year show at University Inn. Both musicians were lined up to perform.
According to the lineup of performers seen, Ray G was supposed to perform first. His session ran from 9:05-9:20pm. On the hand Azawi was supposed to perform between 11:10-11:25pm.
However, the Quinamino singer hijacked the My Boo singer’s place. And it seems she didn’t notify her compatriot nor the organisers. They both simultaneously stepped onto stage and started scrambling for the microphone.
Azawi had to involve the audience as she begged them to perform before the western Uganda based singer. DJ Lola played the Swangz Avenue singer’s song and left Ray G in oblivion.
Eventually the Omusheshe singer came onto stage but he first ranted. He was furious at Kampala artists who he branded disrespectful towards regional artists.
However, he finally performed as fans asked him to calm down. This is not the first time that the singer is sending out shots to Kampala artists.
Last year he was involved in another scene at the Purple Party in Mbarara. This is after singer Truth 256 another western Uganda singer saw his performance cut short. This is because a musician from Kampala had arrived amd wanted to perform.
