There was drama yesterday ay Kololo independence grounds when President Museveni let a young ghetto lady sit besides him. Mr Museveni yesterday 20, December, 2023 launched ghetto SACCOs in Kampala metropolitan.
Apparently, the major goal of these SACCOs is to help in enhancing the welfare of the ghetto people as well as help in fighting insecurity.
As the function was still ongoing, a young lady sprinted from the general public towards the President’s section. However she was blocked by security from accessing the CiC.
It took moments before the President told them to let her come over to him. Soon as she got close to him, she knelt down and greeted him. The President then let her sit on his left hand side till the end of the function.
Meanwhile, the government recently endorsed over 10 Savings and credit co-operative organisations and societies (SACCOS ) in Kampala metropolitan ghettos.
