The Comedy Store UG hosted its annual end-of-year awarding ceremony on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, and recognized and honoured the exceptional performers of the year 2023.
The Comedy Store Awards were first held on December 19, 2019. This is was the third edition of the awards.
Uganda’s comedy industry has made significant strides over the years owing to the ever-growing pool of comics and the diversity in talent.
Ordinary people with funny personalities, including socialites, politicians, TikTokers, and social media figures were rewarded.

- Best Upcoming Comedian – Merry Heart
- Radio Personality of the year – Kasuku
- English Comedian of the year – Uncle Mo
- Best Duo – Madrat & Chiko
- Politician of the year – Hon. Betty Nambooze
- Regional Comedian – MC Kachaina
- Funniest on Twitter/X – Uncle Mo
- Legendary Comedian – Amooti Omubalanguzi
- Tiktoker of the year – Jose Chakala
- Comedian of the Year – MC Mariachi
- Comedy Store’s most supportive fans – QC
- Funniest Socialite of the year – Musya
- Funniest on Facebook – Don Zella
- Outstanding Act of the Year – Alien Skin
- Best Comedy – DJ Lolah
- Honoring Award – Jose Chameleone
The show was topped off with musical performances from Alien Skin, Mesach Semakula and Jose Chameleone to mark a memorable night.
